Karen, RN BSN – calendar – Mansfield, OH
Karen Isaac, RN BSN received her Mommy and Me Fitness Instructor Certification in May 2008. Her passion for fitness and nutrition is a lifestyle she shares with her husband and 5 children. Working as a registered nurse for 10 years in a variety of capacities, Karen has gained a wealth of knowledge regarding healing and wellness. Karen developed a love of Yoga in 2001, became certified in Yoga in 2007 and incorporates this amazing mind/body technique into her personal and class fitness regimes. She enjoys running & racing, gardening and cooking and is constantly looking for opportunities to share her love of exercise and health
Dena – Marion, OH
Certified Mommy and Me Fitness Instructor Dena Glosser has recently joined the Mommy and Me Fitness team. She has worked as a nutrition and wellness coach for several years and is very excited to offer Mommy and Me Fitness to our location in Marion, OH. Dena, mother of two, is passionate about proactive, preventive health and hopes to inspire the mothers of Marion to find peace and meaning in a full life that is as healthy as possible.
Melissa, RN BSN – calendar – Mansfield, OH
Melissa Ford is a Registered Nurse and a Mommy and Me Fitness Instructor. She loves outdoor fitness, including hiking, running, biking and swimming. The value of fitness was instilled in Melissa by her family as she was always encouraged to be active in everyday life. She was also a fitness instructor during her time in the Air Force. Melissa strives to encourage her children to be active and to inspire them children to appreciate the importance fitness. She enjoys challenging and motivating her students to reach their goals while having a great time. Nina – calendar – Mansfield, OH
Nina received her Mommy and Me Fitness instructor certification in April 2010. She is an esthetician. She takes fitness and her health very seriously because she comes from a family that deals with heart disease and diabetes. She wants to take an active role in teaching her son and others to be strong and live a healthy life. Nina says “If you stay fit, avoid health risks today, it could save your life… and as a mom I have a lot to live for!” Nina will be teaching classes in Mansfield and Bellville Ohio.
Nancy – calendar -Mansfield, OH
Nancy received her Mommy and Me Fitness instructor certificate in March 2011. She is a wife and busy mom of five! She has had varying pregnancy experiences (including those with complications) along with parenting a son with special needs. She truly understands the challenges women face with their changing bodies and how hard it can be to make regular exercise a priority with young children. “I’m excited to share with our clients that it’s never too late to find fitness and there is never a better time to start than today! I feel passionately that exercise is just a piece of taking care of ourselves. We have so much more value than the number on the scale and it’s necessary to find balance emotionally, spiritually and physically. Mommy and Me Fitness can give to women a wonderful opportunity to make exercise a piece of that puzzle while interacting with their children. I love that I get to be a part of that discovery for our clients along with setting an example in my own family!”
Erica, RN BSN – Columbus, OH
Erica is a registered nurse. She has been working within ICU and step-downs for the last five years, but her real passion has always been deeply rooted in fitness. “My love for fitness began at an early age learning the importance from my mother and father who taught me to exercise and eat healthy.” She feels that being a mother is such a wonderful gift and we need to stay healthy to give the best to our children. Her goal as an instructor is to not only set a great example for her daughter but inspire others to become healthier too! “I believe that when we are healthy we are better mothers, wives and friends.” She is a great addition to our team!
Kristy – Loudonville, OH
Kristy has her BS in Elementary Education and is a new mommy to Lillian Carol. She is currently working as a Children’s Librarian. She is now offering Mommy and Me Fitness classes in Loudonville OH. Kristy tells us “I’ve always enjoyed children and exercising and love the idea of combining the two.” Exercising has always been apart of her life as well as eating healthy. Amy -Calendar -Key West, FL
Amy Spielberg Finished her training in July 2011 while pregnant with her first baby. She will be teaching classes in her hometown of Key West FL in Oct. after her baby has arrived and can join her for the classes. She is the owner of Stay Fit Studio http://www.stayfitstudiokeywest.com Where she can currently be found teaching a wide range of classes as well as operating as a licensed Massage Therapist. She has 13 years of experience in the wellness field. She additionally holds certifications in group fitness, personal training, Pilate’s, spinning and the most impressive USA Triathlon coach and race director. She tells us “Helping others with health and fitness and bringing more options to my small island is a goal of mine. With this new venture of Mommy and Me certification and as an expecting mom myself, I hope to bring my passion of fitness to moms while sharing this passion with my child.”
Brooke – Calendar – Mansfield, OH
Brooke became a certified Mommy and Me Fitness Instructor in December 2011. She is a mother of 6 and a triathlete. Between serving in various ministries at her church and homeschooling her children, Brooke enjoys every moment she gets to exercise. She is passionate about teaching her own children and other families about how God created our bodies to move, fashioned us with talents to be used for His glory, gives us the power to reach our goals, and delights in our commitment to treating ourselves as a temple of the Holy Spirit. She and her husband live in Ohio where they coach their children in running, swimming and triathlons and squeeze in a few races themselves here and there. Her specialty is in race training for the whole family. She is the Current Charter Director for MMF and also the author of the Strollering Strong Curriculum.
Brittney -Calendar – San Diego, CA
Brittney is a military wife and stay at home mom. Maintaining health and fitness is a constant in her family. Her love of fitness began around high school where she was a cheerleader for four years. Cheerleading taught her to take care of her body through fitness and nutrition and that has carried on through her life. Once she became a mom, she didn’t know how to work out and still be with her young kids. She discovered strollering as a great way to involve her kids and still workout. She completed her first 5k pushing a stroller and hopes to do more in the future. Brittney feels blessed to have the opportunity to worship, fellowship, and exercise with other moms through Mommy and Me Fitness.
Jennifer – Calendar – San Diego, CA
Jennifer is a mother of identical twin boys and a stay at home mom. She enjoys outdoor activities such as: hiking, camping, surfing, and running. Her love of fitness began about 8 years ago when she discovered weight training. A few years after that, she completed her first 5k, and was hooked. Since then, she has completed numerous 5K’s and 10K’s. Jen hopes to complete a half marathon in the future. Jen had to give up her gym membership when she quit her career to stay home with her twins. This made it difficult to maintain weight training into her exercise routine. She began jogging with her twins, but struggled with how to incorporate her love of weight training outside of the gym. Mommy and Me Fitness was the perfect fit! It combines her love of outdoor activities with jogging, muscular conditioning, and strength training. It also provides her the opportunity to fellowship with other moms while encouraging and inspiring them through God’s word. She is excited and blessed to share her love of fitness and health with other moms; and really hopes that her example will also instill that love of fitness and health in her twins.
