Training for a Half-Marathon

I would like to introduce you to Regan Morrison. Regan is training for her first half-marathon and agreed to let Mommy and Me Fitness follow her progress. As we join her on her journey, let’s get to know more about Regan.

Regan is 34 years old and has been married to Ted Morrison for 12 years. They have a little 4 year old boy named Blake. We asked Regan some questions about her running experience:

1) How long have you been running?

I finally got back on my treadmill the week of Thanksgiving and it has felt great!

2) What race are you training for?

The Capital City Half-Marathon in Columbus, Ohio

3) When is the race?

May 5, 2012 – sixteen weeks away

4) Have you run other races?

I ran the Lexington Blueberry Festival 5k in 2008 (pushing my son in the stroller) and 2009.

5) What is your motivation for running a half-marathon?

I want a toner body and my pants to fit comfortable again

6) Do you have a goal finish time?

I’m thinking about 2:30

Half-way through her training, we will check up with Regan again and of course, give you the results of her race. Stay tuned to read more about Regan in the coming months.
